Chavez Jr. Defeats Rubio in Texas
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (44-0-1, 31 KO's) put his undefeated record on the line against Marco Antonio Rubio (53-5-1, 46 KO's) in San Antonio at the Alamodome last night for the WBC Middleweight Championship. After barely making weight Chavez fought a very physical fight against a physical opponent. This fight was pretty uneventful until the final few rounds. For most of the fight, Chavez put his head in Rubio's chest and pounded his body. Rubio stood in the pocket and fired back but
